Spencer took this "selfie" at the Great Wolf Lodge. He had a wonderful time! He especially enjoyed a blue raspberry slushie there. It's hard to believe this "little boy" is now 6! But sometimes it is hard to believe he is "only" 6. For example, he likes to begin his sentences with the phrase, "You do realize ..." He loves to eat peas -- especially in his mac and cheese! And his favorite show at the moment is "Girl Meets World" because he likes to sing the theme song. Happy birthday, Spencer! :)

Getting bigger!

Spencer continues to grow! He weighs about 50 lbs. and is about 44 inches tall. He likes the character Olaf from "Frozen." Unfortunately, he no longer likes "Thomas & Friends." Nevertheless, he still has a "cheeky" personality (like Thomas!). His favorite snack at the moment is Rasinets. (Maybe that is why he is so sweet!)

Happy New Year, 2014!

On Thanksgiving, Spencer decided to cut his bangs. Needless to say, this was a disaster! He received an all-over short haircut in an attempt to disguise what had happened. The day after Christmas, he put an entire piece of chewing gum in the front of his hair! The gum had to be removed with scissors, so it will be a while before he needs another haircut. Oh, well. This is all part of growing up and being a BOY! Apparently this also involves pretending to drive a go-kart and climbing rock walls. He was happy to receive a new bicycle and helmet from Santa! (But he was quite upset to learn that his old bike and helmet -- which he had clearly outgrown -- were given to another little boy.) Spencer says he no longer likes "Thomas & Friends," but this isn't entirely true. However, his new favorite TV show is "Jessie" on the Disney Channel. He and his sisters had fun at an afternoon "New Year's Eve" party.

Growing up fast!

Spencer had a lot of fun at Halloween. He wore a t-shirt that looked like Frankenstein. He has several proper costumes which he wears periodically at home, but he doesn't like to wear them for Halloween. However, he does like getting candy! His favorite treats are Hershey's Cookies & Cream and Starburst (which he doesn't actually eat, but he likes to sort into colors). Fortunately he also enjoys healthy foods like corn with red and green peppers, Clementines (little oranges) and onions. He keeps checking for a wiggly tooth, but they are all holding fast. He is as precious as the day is long.

Spencer's 5th birthday

Spencer had a rainy birthday, but he had a nice party with pizza and a delicious cake! He loves his iPod Touch (pictured) which was actually an early Christmas present (November 2012).

He is enjoying school, but he misses having an afternoon nap. He likes "Pete the Cat" books, purple grapes and swimming.

Our boy is 5!

Spencer had a very nice birthday. He had a party on Saturday with some of his friends and received many presents. He weighs about 40 lbs. now and is about 41 inches tall. He still loves Thomas & Friends. His favorite foods are macaroni and cheese with corn and watermelon. Chocolate milk is still his favorite drink.
